<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a discharge phenomenon occurring between the slider of a glide head and a magnetic disc. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the slider of the glide head, a flow-out end side corner of a floating surface including a protrusion detection part has a circular shape having a curvature radius not smaller than 5 μm, and the cross section of a surface connecting the edge of the floating surface including the corner with a surface nearly parallel to the floating surface and lower by one stage has a concave shape. Accordingly, the discharge phenomenon occurring between the magnetic disk and the slider during a glide height test is reduced, so that a discharge generation ratio between the head and the magnetic disk is reduced.
