<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for diagnosing pancreatic cancer, having excellent internal organ specificity and sensitivity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for diagnosing pancreatic cancer includes a first contact step for bringing a subject-derived blood sample into contact with an immobilized carrier on which a first recognition substance containing an antibody or an antibody fragment for recognizing human pancreatic ribonuclease 1; a second contact step for bringing a second recognition substance for recognizing a sugar-binding pancreatic ribonuclease 1 derived from a pancreatic cancer cell into contact with the immobilized carrier after the first contact step; a detection step for detecting the second recognition substance on the immobilized carrier after the second contact step; and a determination step for determining existence of the pancreatic cancer cell on the basis of the detection level of the second recognition substance in the detection step.
