<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing cost by making a process to fold a sheet delivered from an image forming device or the like small and compact in size by a simple mechanism. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This sheet folding device includes a stack tray for loading and housing sheets from a paper discharge port, a processing tray arranged at its upstream side and temporarily holding the sheets from the paper discharge port, a sheet transfer means for transferring the sheets from the paper discharge port to a predetermined position on the processing tray, and a tray elevation means for moving the stack tray upward and downward in a sheet loading direction. A support member having a folding reference face of the sheet is arranged at a processing tray side, and a bending member moving upward and downward along the folding reference face is arranged at a stack tray side, respectively. After a control means moves the position of the sheets on the processing tray by the sheet transfer means so that the folding position is made coincide with the folding reference face, the control means lifts the bending member along the folding reference face by the tray elevation means so as to bend the sheets at predetermined angles.
