PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive assisting device capable of performing a high precision drive assisting operation. SOLUTION: A drive assisting device 1 includes an attention alert unit 4 and a brake assisting mechanism 5 for performing a vehicle drive assisting operation in response to a changed-over information of signal got from a road-side installed device, a road gradient calculating part 15 for getting a road gradient information for every lane, and a changing means for changing energization conditions for use in energizing the attention alert unit 4 and the brake assisting mechanism 5 in such a way that the drive assisting can be carried out in response to the road gradient information got by the road gradient calculating part 15.
