The invention concerns a method for determining the dilution in fuel of a heat engine oil, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: measuring the electrical resistance (R0) and the electrical capacitance (C0) of an oil sample to be evaluated, comparing the pairs of values (R0, C0) thus measured with a first reference curve (CR1) corresponding to the evolution of the resistance (R) as a function of the capacitance (C) for an oil without fuel dilution, recording the difference (?R) between the measured resistance value (R0) and the reference curve (CR2) for the measured capacitance (C0), plotting the resistance difference (?R) thus obtained onto a second reference curve (CR2) corresponding to the evolution of the resistance (R) based on the dilution in fuel (D) and retaining the dilution value (D0) of the second reference curve (CR2) corresponding to the plotted resistance difference (?R). |
