PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly and simply achieve limitations on viewing and listening of a charged broadcasting program.

SOLUTION: DTVs having server functions include contract-information management tables relating and storing the card IDs of receiving control cards and viewing-listening propriety settings to each DTV connected to the DTVs having server functions with discriminating information discriminating contract information. The DTV at a connection destination transmits discriminating information for contract information corresponding to the receiving control card to the DTVs having server functions when selecting a charged broadcasting. The DTVs having server functions refer to the contract-information management tables on the basis of discriminating information transmitted from the DTV at the connection destination, and transmit the viewing-listening propriety settings corresponding to the DTV at the connection destination to the DTVs. The DTV at the connection destination control outputs from programs by the selected charged broadcasting according to the received viewing-listening propriety settings. Since the viewing-listening propriety information for each DTV is managed to the contract information, viewing and listening can be limited flexibly at every program and every DTV.
