<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a transformed plant having enhanced citrate release ability from root. <P>SOLUTION: A DNA is (a) a specific DNA, (b) a DNA comprising a base sequence in which one or several bases are deleted, substituted, inserted or added in the specific base sequence, and its translation product has substantially the same citrate transport ability as the translation product of the DNA (a), (c) a DNA that comprises a part of the specific base sequence in which its translation product has substantially the same citrate transport ability as the translation product of the DNA (a), or (d) a DNA that is hybridized with a DNA comprising a base sequence complementary to the DNA comprising any of the (a)-(c) base sequences under a stringent condition in which its translation product has substantially the same citrate transport ability as the translation product of the DNA (a).
