<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reduction in the capacity due to the repetition of charging and discharging of an alkaline storage battery. <P>SOLUTION: The alloy powder for an electrode inclues a hydrogen storing alloy and a magnetic body cluste, of which, the hydrogen storing alloy contains 20 to 70 wt.% of Ni, the magnetic body cluster contains metal nickel, and an average particle diameter of the magnetic body cluster is 8 to 10 nm. A manufacturing method of the alloy powder for the electrode includes an activation process, in which raw material powder containing the hydrogen storing alloy are contacted with water solution of 100°C or higher, containing A wt.% of sodium hydroxide for B minutes, and A and B satisfy 2,410≤A×B≤2,800. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
