<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anvil assembly which includes an anvil head and an anvil plate, and is used together with a surgical operating fastener applying device, wherein the anvil head and the anvil plate are formed with their respective materials different from each other, and integrated with design features for grappling with problems of conventional techniques in manufacture and fastener formation. <P>SOLUTION: The anvil assembly is used together with a surgical operating fastener applying device and includes an anvil head 40 for regulating a longitudinal axis and an anvil plate 48 comprising a plurality of fastener pockets supported by the anvil head 40, wherein the anvil head 40 is made of a first material; and the anvil plate 48 is made of a second material which is different from the first material and selected from the group consisting of copper, titanium, magnesium, aluminium, and a zinc alloy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
