<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a short circuit between a piezoelectric element of a piezoelectric actuator and an actuator base 25, in a head suspension having the piezoelectric actuator and being movable minutely in a sway direction. <P>SOLUTION: When forming at least one of an upper plane electrode and a lower plane electrode of the piezoelectric element, the electrode is formed not on the whole surface of the piezoelectric element but from the outer periphery with an offset. The outer periphery of the piezoelectric element has no electrode. Electric short circuit is prevented even if the piezoelectric element is mounted with a tilt or close to one of the base parts, since there is no electrode at the outer periphery which has the shortest distance to the base part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
