<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spraying material in which the remarkable reduction of dust and rebound, improvement in strength in the initial stage and over a long period, and further, the improvement of crack resistance can be achieved by applying specified silica slurry and a specified quick setting agent to spray concrete, and to provide a spraying method using the same. <P>SOLUTION: (1) The spraying material comprises: silica slurry in which the concentration of silica having an SiO<SB>2</SB>component of≥85 mass% and a grain size of≤1.0μm is 5 to 60 mass%, and its viscosity is≤100 mPa s; a quick setting agent; and cement concrete. (2) In the spraying material described in (1), the quick setting agent comprises at least one kind selected from calcium aluminate, alkali metal aluminate, alkali metal silicate and aluminum sulfate. (3) In the spraying material (1) or (2), the slump flow of the cement concrete is 40 to 90 cm.
