PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device, an image composition and display device, an image composition and display method, and a program capable of combining a figure and a background image with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The imaging device includes an imaging section 2 for imaging a figure 21 of a subject, and a face detection section 3 for detecting a face 21a based on an imaging result of the figure 21, selects a panel image 23 from a plurality of panel image data in accordance with a face detected by the face detection section 3, combines the selected panel image 23 and the face image 21a, and further combines a first combined image and the background image.
