Provided is a solid state imaging device and an imaging device wherein a longitudinal stripe occurring in an image can be reduced while suppressing black level shift. A solid state imaging device comprises a row comparing section (3) which is provided for each pixel signal read line (21) and determines whether the voltage of a pixel signal is lower than a determination reference voltage or not by comparing the voltage of the pixel signal with the determination reference voltage, a clip transistor (41) which is provided for each pixel signal read line (21) and limits the voltage of a pixel signal to a clip reference voltage, and a clip circuit operation changeover switch (42) which is provided for each pixel signal read line (21) and switches between operation and non-operation of the clip transistor (41), wherein the clip circuit operation changeover switch (42) operates the clip transistor (41) when the row comparing section (3) determines that the voltage of a pixel signal is lower than a determination reference voltage, and does not operate the clip transistor when the row comparing section (3) determines that the voltage of the pixel signal is not lower than the determination reference voltage. |
