PURPOSE: A device for connecting the hub and the rotary shaft of a swash plate type compressor is provided to enhance the connectivity of a rotary shaft and a hub by preventing the force from being applied in the direction a combining member for connecting the hub and the rotary shaft releases. CONSTITUTION: A device for connecting the hub and the rotary shaft of a swash plate type compressor comprise a hub(143), a rotary shaft(120), and a combining member(150). The hub comprises a disc(146), which makes tight contact with the contact surface(140') of a pulley(140) and selectively transfers the torque. A spline is formed on the inner surface of the hub. The rotary shaft rotates integrally with the hub, comprises a swash plate(124), and makes a piston(130) linearly reciprocate in a cylinder bore(112a). The combining member is coupled to the leading end of the rotary shaft through the center of the hub. At least one side of the splines of the hub and the rotary shaft transferring the force in the direction of separating the combining member from the inner surface of the hub forms a contact surface, which is perpendicular to the outer surface of the rotary shaft and the inner surface of the hub.
