<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the sealing property of portions for connecting panels without lowering the mountability of a weather strip. <P>SOLUTION: This weather strip includes a distal end projecting part 27 projecting on an extension line of a vehicle outside side wall 22 of a mounting part 19 of the weather strip 16 from a joining part 30 at a distal end of the vehicle outside side wall 22. By forming the distal end projecting part 27 into a substantially triangular shape thinned in a projecting direction with a width dimension which does not exceed the thickness of the joining part 30, the distal end projecting part 27 is compressed and deformed without falling and bending to abut on the panels and the distal end projecting part 27 adheres to sufficiently follow a step between the panel overlapping and connecting portions when mounting the mounting part 19 on a flange 15. By forming the distal end projecting part 27 of a material which is easier to deform than that of a hollow sealing part 20, an elastic repulsive force becomes small when the distal end projecting part 27 abuts on the panels and is compressed and deformed, and the mounting part 19 is made easier to be mounted on the flange 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
