USER REGISTRATION SYSTEM, READER/WRITER, SERVER, USER REGISTRATION METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which is suitable for receiving a service such as discount and a privilege through a network.

SOLUTION: A reader/writer 2 reads an IC card which a portable terminal 1 has. The reader/writer 2 acquires a unique password to the ID of the IC card and adds it to a URL for accessing a server 3 to transmit them to the portable terminal 1. The reader/writer 2 associates the ID of the IC card with the password or the like to transmit it to the server 3. When access to the server 3 is made from the portable terminal 1, the server 3 determines whether the password which is added to the URL accords with the password transmitted from the reader/writer 2. When the passwords accord, the reader/writer 2 associates the ID of the IC card corresponding to the passwords with the ID of the portable terminal 1 which is information for identifying the portable terminal 1.
