<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the controller of a hybrid vehicle for appropriately suppressing the occurrence of rattling noise, regardless of the presence/absence of EGR introduction. <P>SOLUTION: The controller of a hybrid vehicle determines the engine operating point to perform control so that the rattling noise during traveling is avoided. Specifically, an engine operation point determination means determines the engine operating point for avoiding a rattling noise according to an EGR rate. More specifically, the number of revolutions of the engine at the engine operation point for avoiding the rattling noise is set higher, the higher the EGR rate is.
