摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal continuously variable transmission capable of preventing gross slip when a parking lock device works. SOLUTION: The toroidal continuously variable transmission 1 is mounted on a vehicle, and transmits an engine torque transmitted from an internal combustion engine 100 into an input disk 10 via a power roller 30 to an output disk 20. The toroidal continuously variable transmission 1 includes a roller pressing mechanism 40 to generate a roller pressing force for pressing the power roller 30 to the input disk 10 and the output disk 20. When the parking lock device mounted on the vehicle can work, the roller pressing mechanism 40 allows the engine torque to be transmitted the output disk 20 via the power roller 30, while setting the roller pressing force lower than the lowest roller pressing force which is the minimum of the roller pressing force.
