<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixing valve device capable of preventing only high temperature hot water from erroneously flowing out even when water supply to a valve is stopped and securing safety. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a temperature range for normal usage of mixed water, a valve element 30 moves integrally with a spool 20 to adjust the inflow ratio of water and hot water. When the mixed water becomes abnormally high in temperatures, a temperature sensing spring 40 made of a shape memory material disposed in the same housing 10 comes in contact with the high temperature and becomes deformed, and the valve element 30 is moved so that an inflow port 13 of hot water is closed. Further, upon receiving abnormal temperature detection of a temperature sensor 60, a separate flow passage of mixed water is closed, so that in an abnormal state where water does not flow into the housing 10, the temperature sensing spring 40 immediately moves the valve element 30, and the valve element 30 quickly closes the inflow port 13 of hot water, so that time from when the temperature in the housing 10 becomes abnormally high to when inflow of hot water is suppressed is shortened.
