<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a (meth)acrylate based polymer particle which is excellent in powder fluidity and is capable of forming high-quality molded body, skin material, coated film, etc. excellent in feeling, appearance and the like, with high efficiency of using raw material. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method of producing spherical particle containing (meth)acrylate based polymer comprises a process of removing an organic solvent from a polymer solution by steam stripping of directly blowing steam into mixed liquid comprising a polymer solution including the organic solvent and (meth)acrylate based polymer, dispersion agent and water to produce polymer particles, wherein the dispersion agent is a polyvinyl alcohol of which the degree of saponification is 75 to 85 mol%.
