<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reminder device for a passenger conveyor capable of effectively promoting the reminder by timely informing a passenger to use an escalator of reminder information according to an article carried by the passenger. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The reminder device 30 for an escalator includes a camera 32 for photographing an image of a passenger at an entrance 12, an image analyzing and determining unit 34 for analyzing whether or not the passenger carries a predetermined article by analyzing the image photographed by the camera 32, and a speaker 17 and a display unit 19 for informing the passenger of the reminder information according to the predetermined article when the passenger carries the predetermined article based on the analysis of the image analyzing and determining unit 34.
