<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid-jet head unit having high versatility, and to provide a liquid-jet apparatus using the liquid-jet head unit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The liquid-jet head unit 1 includes: a base plate 3 having a plurality of openings 31; and also, on the base plate 3, liquid-jet heads 2 disposed so that each of the liquid-jet surfaces having a plurality of nozzle openings for jetting the liquid may be exposed from the opening; one signal supply unit 6 for supplying a drive signal to the liquid-jet head; a liquid supply tube for supplying the liquid to the liquid-jet head; an erected frame 5 where the signal supply unit is placed. The respective members disposed on the base plate are arranged so as to be stored in the pillar-shaped space taking the base plate as a bottom surface.
