PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balance spring supporting structure for minimally adjusting a shift from a plane of a balance spring, and to provide a balance structure and a mechanical timepiece with the same. SOLUTION: The balance spring supporting structure 3 of the mechanical timepiece includes a balance holder height position adjusting mechanism 50 for displacing a balance holder 40 relative to a balance holder receptacle 30 in the vertical directions D1, D2. The balance holder 40 has a shaft 41 inserted into a hole 33 in the balance holder receptacle 30, and a disk flange 42. The balance holder height position adjusting mechanism has a balance holder height position adjusting element provided with an adjusting shaft 51 fitted to the balance holder receptacle 30, and an adjusting element body 52 having a reference truncated cone plane 56 eccentric to the adjusting shaft at one end. When the balance holder height position adjusting element is turned around the central axis line C of the adjusting shaft 51, the adjusting element body 52 pushes one end 46 of the disk flange 42 in the balance holder 40 by the reference truncated cone plane 56.
