PURPOSE: A system and a method for changing the fuel of a compressed natural gas-gasoline combined vehicle are provided to enable stable conversion of fuel in a compressed natural gas-gasoline combined vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A system for changing the fuel of a compressed natural gas-gasoline combined vehicle comprises a vehicle sensing unit(100), a standby mode setting unit(200), and a fuel switching control unit(300). The vehicle sensing unit senses the kind of the fuel currently used according to the request of fuel conversion. The vehicle sensing unit determines whether the supply of fuel to be converted is possible by checking the satisfaction of a first condition according user setup. If the supply of the gasoline is possible, the fuel conversion into gasoline mode is performed by determining the satisfaction of a second condition.
