<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a magnetic field applied to a microwave generating film from a main magnetic pole without significantly reducing the intensity of the recording magnetic field in a magnetic recording head with an microwave assist. <P>SOLUTION: A distance D2 between film surfaces at an end position of a microwave generator 45 in a component height direction is made larger than a distance D1 between film surfaces of a magnetic film 451 in the microwave generator, and the main magnetic pole 327 in a head floating face of the main magnetic pole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
