<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric porcelain composition having a high Curie temperature, and capable of providing an excellent frequency constant when it is used for an oscillator. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric porcelain composition includes a complex oxide having a perovskite structure. The complex oxide has a composition represented by (Pb<SB>α</SB>M<SB>β</SB>)(Ti<SB>1-(x+y+z)</SB>Sn<SB>x</SB>Mn<SB>y</SB>Nb<SB>z</SB>)O<SB>3</SB>(wherein M denotes at least one selected from the group consisting of La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu and Sr), and satisfying 0.84≤α<1.00, 0.04≤β≤0.10, 0.04≤x≤0.17, 0.02≤y≤0.05 and 0.04≤z≤0.10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
