<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an image processing apparatus capable of improving expression of detail of an image without influencing a saturation area out of a correction object; an image display apparatus; and an image processing method or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus, which corrects an image signal supplied to an image display part, includes: a saturation component correction amount calculation part for calculating a correction amount of the saturation component of the image signal only for the image signal within a given saturation level in a given spatial frequency band; and a saturation component correction part for correcting the saturation component of the image signal by using the correction amount calculated by the saturation component correction amount calculation part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
