<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint and a method for releasing connection of the pipe joint, in which the pipe joint can be connected to a joint connection portion of a piping material such as a resin header with threaded connection, loosening of and damage to the screw can be reliably prevented, and the pipe joint can be removed from the piping material, as necessary, without being damaged. <P>SOLUTION: The arrangement is such that a cap nut 3 part of the pipe joint 1b connected to the header 4 is contained within an operation part 53 of a tool 5 so as not to rotate with an extension part 32b being locked by a lock protrusion part 46b. Two lock releasing claws 54, 55 with a wedge-shaped cross section integrally provided to the operation part 53 are made to face a clearance between a flange body 46a and respective extension parts 32b from the direction in which the cap nut 3 is tightened. While holding a handle portion 51, the operation part 53 is rotated in a direction in which the cap nut 3 is released from being screw fixed, and the extension parts are pushed outwardly in a radial direction of the cap nut 3 by the lock releasing claws 54, 55 fitted into the clearance between the extension parts 32b and the flange body 46a, whereby the extension parts 32b can be released from locking with the lock protrusion part 46b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
