摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition showing excellence in high temperature detergency, soot dispersion and low temperature flowability and showing excellent storage stability in a storage tank even after a long term use, particularly the lubricant composition preferably usable for a lubrication oil for inner combustion engines, inner combustion engine deceleration machines or inner combustion hydraulic operation machines for ships, generation or railways. SOLUTION: The lubricant composition comprises in a lubricating base oil: 0.1 to 30 mass%, based on the whole amount of the composition, of a salicylate-based detergent (A) containing a metal salicylate (a) having one 8-19C hydrocarbon group and a metal salicylate (b) having one 20-32C hydrocarbon group, wherein the metal ratio represented by valency of metal element×content (mol%) of metal element/soap group content (mol%) is less than 4.5; and 0.1 to 10 mass% of a salicylate-based detergent having a base value of not less than 240 mgKOH/g and/or the metal ratio of not less than 4.5 and other than the salicylate-based detergent (A) and/or a calcium phenate-based detergent.
