PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge detection circuit detecting electrostatic discharge with a simple structure and interfacing with another device because a semiconductor device has a problem wherein, when a surge due to electrostatic discharge from the outside is applied, abnormal operation may be executed due to rewriting of data of an internal register or the like even if the surge does not result in destruction, and the abnormal operation is not detected from an external device. SOLUTION: This discharge detection circuit includes: an electrostatic discharge detection part 1 having a first detection part for detecting a surge of a positive voltage to output a first detection signal and a second detection part for detecting a surge of a negative voltage to output a second detection signal, and outputting a detection signal showing whether a surge occurs based on the first detection signal and the second detection signal; and an external output terminal 2a for outputting the detection signal.
