<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent display device in which an adverse effect of wiring resistance is suppressed by reducing a drive current and the deterioration of display quality caused by a short circuit of elements is minimized in consideration of problems that, conventionally, an organic EL device of a large area requires a large drive current which increases the adverse effect caused by wiring resistance and that a short circuit caused by a defect causes a pixel to fail to emit light and deteriorates display quality. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent display device includes at least a plurality of first electrode lines and a plurality of second electrode lines that extend in a direction crossing the first electrode lines, and drives each of pixels on intersections with a corresponding first electrode line and a second electrode line.
