<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an area for mounting components in a liquid crystal display device by arranging a liquid crystal driver on one side of a liquid crystal panel, to achieve display with high picture quality by performing alternate-column inversion drive, and to reduce the circuit scale of a power source circuit by incorporating an alternating current circuit of a reference voltage for liquid crystal driving into the liquid crystal driver. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal driver includes: a voltage generation means for generating two alternating current reference voltages driving alternating currents from an input reference voltage and an alternating current signal; and a means for outputting a liquid crystal application voltage with different alternating current driving by each output to the liquid crystal panel, by inverting signals from the display data, the two alternating current reference voltages and the alternating signal.
