PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic polymer blend comprising a thermoplastic random copolymer containing ethylene and propylene and isotactic polypropylene, the blend having excellent compatibility characteristics, increased tensile strength, and improved processing characteristics, for example, a single melting point. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic random copolymer containing 5-25 wt.% of ethylene and 75-95 wt.% of propylene is produced in a stirred tank type polymerization reactor which enables only single polymerization environment for substantially whole polymer, using a monodentate metallocene catalyst which enables only single statistical aspect of addition of ethylene and propylene, wherein the tank type polymerization reactor is fully mixed and monomers are continuously supplied thereto. The copolymer has a melting point (Tm) of lower than 105°C determined by DSC and heat of fusion of less than 75 J/g determined by DSC. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
