PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embryo quality evaluation assistance system for presenting information useful for embryo quality evaluation without identifying cells in the embryo using only a picked up image without holding the embryo. SOLUTION: The embryo quality evaluation assistance system 1 includes an embryo observing apparatus 2, and an embryo quality evaluation assistance apparatus 3. The embryo quality evaluation assistance apparatus 3 includes a time-series image storing means 31 for storing images picked up by the embryo observing apparatus 2, an embryo image extracting means 32 for extracting an embryo image from the time-series image stored in the time-series image storing means 31, an active site extracting means 33 that compares two embryo images with each other and extracts an active site, a feature amount calculating means 34 for calculating the feature amount of the embryo, a feature amount analyzing means 35 for analyzing the feature amount of the embryo, a processing result storing means 36 for storing a processing result, a processing result displaying means 37 for displaying the processing result, and the like.
