The invention relates to a method for depositing groups of bags (5a) from plastic bags, especially bags for vending machines, wherein the bag stacks (5) are folded and rolled up prior to their insertion into external packagings (15), comprising the following steps: a. a bag stack (5) is seized on one side, preferably the side comprising the bag openings, and is deposited flat on a folding table (8): b. at least one, preferably two, folding pens (10) are aligned along a folding line and fix the bag stack (5) on the folding table (10); c. a part of the bag stack (5), preferably the shorter part, is seized, folded around the folding pens (10) and deposited on the other part of the stack (5); d. the bag stack (5) is seized on both sides by a gripper (12, 13) and is rolled up to a group of bags (5a); e. the grippers (12, 13) are detached and the rolled-up group of bags (5a) is deposited in an external packaging (15).
