The finding describes a volumetric pump (10) of the type comprising a pair of gears (12, 14) perfectly coupled together and each mounted on a respective support shaft (16, 18). Each support shaft (16, 18) is able to rotate around a respective axis (A-A, B-B). The gears (12, 14) and the support shafts (16, 18) are contained inside a casing (20) that is closed, at its opposite ends, by respective flat end walls (22, 24), extending substantially orthogonally with respect to the directions defined by the axes (A-A, B-B) of the support shafts (16, 18). The pump (10) comprises a pair of sliding plates (32, 34) having substantially flat surfaces, oriented along planes substantially orthogonal to the directions defined by the axes (A-A, B-B) of the support shafts (16, 18) and each arranged between the gears (12, 14) and one of such flat end walls (22, 24). The sliding plates (32, 34) operate as sliding surface of the gears (12, 14), substantially increasing the resistance to wear of the planes on which the gears (12, 14) themselves slide. |
