The device has a drainage element (2) arranged at a light well (1) under formation of a drainage channel (4) between an inner space (3) and an outer side (5). The drainage element is designed as a construction kit system such that the drainage element enables insertion of a foliage interceptor (6), odor trap and a backflow stopper in front and/or in the drainage channel, in an alternative manner. The backflow stopper has a supporting element, via which the backflow stopper is inserted into the drainage channel. The supporting element is designed as a circular surface element.
