The straight cylinder-internal combustion engine has a crank mechanism with a crankshaft, which is supported in a crankshaft bearing of a crankcase. The measurement of a crank mechanism, particularly a bearing diameter is small electively such that the exciting of a torsion natural resonance of the crankshaft is reduced by the arrangement of an internal combustion engine defined under the nominal speed together with a rotational inertia of the crankshaft, particularly a counter balance.
