<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently secure a start-up voltage even when a wire is long, in a low-frequency lighting discharge lamp lighting device. <P>SOLUTION: This discharge lamp lighting device includes an electric power supply circuit for supplying 1 kHz or less of a low-frequency electric power or direct current electric power to a discharge lamp, an ignitor circuit for impressing the start-up voltage to the discharge lamp, and the electric wire for connecting an output end of the electric power supply circuit to an input end of the ignitor circuit, the ignitor circuit includes a rectifying circuit for rectifying an input voltage from the electric wire, a primary voltage generating circuit for generating a primary alternating current voltage from an output of the rectifying circuit, and a transformer for transforming the primary alternating current voltage into a secondary alternating current voltage, and the secondary alternating current voltage is superposed to the input voltage from the electric wire. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
