<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical detector which can output a precise digital value in accordance with an amount of incident light. <P>SOLUTION: This optical detector 1 includes: a photodiode PD; an integrating circuit 10; a comparator 20; an electric charge injecting circuit 30; a counter circuit 40; a holding circuit 50; an amplifier circuit 60; an A-D converting circuit 70; and a reference value generating circuit 80. The integrating circuit 10, the comparator 20, the electric charge implanting circuit 30, and the counter circuit 40 have A-D converting functions. The amplifier circuit 60 outputs a voltage value which is K times a voltage value outputted from the holding circuit 50 to the A-D converting circuit 70 wherein K>1. The A-D converting circuit 70 sets the voltage value which is K times a reference value V<SB>ref2</SB>in the comparator 20 as a maximum input voltage value, inputs the voltage value outputted from the amplifier circuit 60, and outputs a digital value corresponding to the input voltage value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
