<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raiser for an aquatic plant, in an aquarium water tank, using no carbon dioxide feeder and without adding any liquid or solid nutrient into the aquarium water tank, and to provide a method for raising the aquatic plant. <P>SOLUTION: The raiser for the aquatic plant for an aquarium comprises a solid peat moss; particularly, the bulk specific gravity (density) of the peat moss is 0.300 (g/cm<SP>3</SP>) or greater.
