摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal-aligned ceramic having excellent electrical insulation resistance, to provide a method for producing the same, to provide a lamination type piezoelectric element, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the piezoelectric ceramic 2 composed of a polycrystal body using an isotropic perovskite type compound as the main phase, and the lamination type piezoelectric element using the same as a piezoelectric ceramic layer, the crystal grains 20 composing the piezoelectric ceramic 2 have a core phase 21 and a shell phase 22. Provided that the crystal lattice defect amounts of the core phase 21 and the shell phase 22 are defined as dc and ds, respectively, the relational inequality of ds/dc<1.2 is satisfied. In the production of the crystal-aligned ceramic and the lamination type piezoelectric element, upon the mixing of the raw materials, K raw material powder and/or Li raw material powder are further mixed in such a manner that the additional quantity thereof to 1 mol of the isotropic perovskite type compound is controlled to &le;0.05 mol.
