<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an image processing device which achieves improvement in visibility of the detail of an image even when a range of saturation is compressed; an image display device; and an image processing method or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing device, which corrects an image signal, includes: a gradation correction part for performing gradation correction processing to a saturation component of the image signal; a saturation component correction amount calculation part for calculating a correction amount of the saturation component of the image signal according to processed content in the gradation correction processing only for the image signal within a given saturation level range in a given spatial frequency band; and a saturation component correction part for correcting the saturation component of the image signal after the gradation correction processing by the gradation correction part by using the correction amount calculated by the saturation component correction amount calculation part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
