PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which facilitates generation and display of a three-dimensional image of the fetal heart by improving estimation accuracy of the cardiac cycle. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus 10 comprises: a display ROI setting section 33 for displaying a three-dimensional image; a volume data acquiring section 35 for acquiring volume data, generated with respect to a display region, from an image memory 24; an analysis ROI setting section 36 for setting on the basis of the volume data an analysis region used for calculating temporal fluctuation cycles; an analysis processing section 37 for analyzing temporal fluctuations of signal strength on the basis of the data of the analysis region; a cardiac cycle calculating section 38 for calculating the cardiac cycle of the fetus by detecting power peak points on the basis of the analysis result; a data set generating section 39 for generating groups of data set for respective substantially equal cardiac cycles; a rendering processing section 40 for rendering the groups of data set to generate groups of three-dimensional images; and a display 13 for displaying the groups of three-dimensional images as a moving image.
