<p>A display control device (2), which controls the stereoscopic image display operation of a display device, is equipped with a first acquisition means (18), which acquires stereoscopic image data that depict a stereoscopic image and first supplemental data that depict a first supplemental image (e.g., subtitle image) that can be displayed superimposed on the stereoscopic image, a second acquisition means (18), which acquires second supplemental data that depict a second supplemental image (e.g., equipment image, OSD) that can be displayed superimposed on the stereoscopic image, a production means (18), which produces the superimposed image in which the second supplemental image is superimposed on the stereoscope image, and an output means (15), which outputs the resulting superimposed image. The production means (18) produces the superimposed image so that the second supplemental image is displayed farther in the foreground than the position at which the first supplemental image is displayed or can be displayed when the superimposed image is stereoscopically viewed by the viewer.</p> |
