PURPOSE: A user interface of a portable device including a digital walkie-talkie module and a providing method thereof are provided to use a user interface of a portable terminal based on walkie-talkie communication in an area where walkie-talkie communication is available, thereby conveniently using the walkie-talkie communication and mobile communication. CONSTITUTION: A user information area(154~157) outputs user information of at least one portable terminal. A communication module area outputs whether it is possible to form a communication channel based on at least one of a digital walkie-talkie module and a mobile communication module by the user information. The portable terminal comprises a radio frequency unit, an input unit, an audio processing unit, a display unit(150), a digital walkie-talkie module, a storage unit, and a controller.
