摘要 PURPOSE: A high sensitive neutron detector with reduced noise during pulse radiation for high power laser induced neutron measurement is provided to remove after-pulse X-ray generated during measurement by gating the after-pulse X-ray through a high voltage switch. CONSTITUTION: A high sensitive neutron detector with reduced noise during pulse radiation for high power laser induced neutron measurement comprises a scintillator(1), a photocathode(3), a photo electronic tube(2), a collector(14), a high voltage device(4), and a high voltage switch(5). The scintillator absorbs after-pulse X-ray or neutron and detects photon. The photocathode is installed under the scintillator and absorbs photon emitted from the scintillator to create photoelectron. The photo electronic tube is installed under the photocathode and receives the photoelectron generated by the photocathode to amplify the electron. The collector is installed under the photo electronic tube and collects the electron amplified through the photo electronic tube. The high voltage device is connected to one side of the photo electronic tube through a cable. The high voltage switch is connected to the other side of the photo electronic tube through a cable.
