INK, METHOD FOR INKJET RECORDING, INK CARTRIDGE, RECORDING UNIT, AND INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ink maintaining storage stability of the ink at high level, giving an image excellent in glossiness when formed on glossy paper, and giving a color reproduction range of red color region broader than ever before; a method for inkjet recording constantly producing an image having color reproduction of red color region corresponding to that of silver halide photography and excellent in glossiness; an ink cartridge; a recording unit; and an inkjet recording apparatus.

SOLUTION: This ink includes at least a pigment. The pigment is a solid solution of C. I. Pigment Red 202 and C. I. Pigment Red 122. The primary particle diameter D (nm) and 50% accumulated value D50(nm) of particle diameter distribution of the pigment satisfy the relation: D×0.95≤D50≤125, and 90% accumulated value of particle diameter distribution D90(nm) and the D50(nm) satisfy the relation: 1.5≤D90/D50≤2.1.
