<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize switching of video setting appropriate for surrounding environment, without imparting a sense of strangeness to a viewer. <P>SOLUTION: An image display has at least one illuminance sensor; an illuminance analyzing section that selects video setting of the image display from a predetermined plurality of groups of video setting values, based on the surrounding illuminance value obtained by the illuminance sensor and outputs the video setting as a setting candidate value; a setting selecting section that changes weighting of the setting candidate value based on a date, sunshine condition, installation environment and visual characteristics of the viewer and analyzes the setting candidate value in a time-series direction for a predetermined period, thereby determining a final setting value; and a setting reflecting section that reflects the final setting value, in the image display at a predetermined timing which is less likely to impart the sense of strangeness to the viewer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
