<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sensuously notify a mode switching action by a single switch, to allow mode switching operation without releasing a lock of a pop-up mechanism, and to unify operation feelings of a camera as a whole by incorporating the mode switching operation with force quantity for other operation members. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a pressing operation member 21 moves to a mode switching position positioned from an initial position, a mode switch 24 is turned on. To notify turning on of the mode switch 24 to a user, a spring part 23a in a click member 23 applies a temporary load (locking condition) against pressing force by the user via the pressing operation member 21. By the temporary locking condition, a sensuous notification is given as a clicking feeling. As the clinking feeling given to the user, an operation feeling equal to that of other operation keys is given, so that uniform operation feelings are obtained as the whole of the camera. Through the clinking feeling via the pressing operation member 21, the user can confirm action timing and can operate only the mode switch 24 without operating the pop-up mechanism.
